Abstract

Keterlibatan suami saat persalinan dapat memperkuat dukungan emosional dan praktis bagi ibu, tetapi tidak semua suami memiliki pengetahuan dan kesiapan untuk menjalankan peran pendamping secara tepat. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh promosi kesehatan menggunakan booklet terhadap pengetahuan, sikap, dan peran serta suami dalam mendampingi persalinan di UPTD Puskesmas Simpang Kiri Kota Subulussalam. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen pretest-posttest dengan kelompok kontrol pada 40 suami dari ibu hamil usia kehamilan 36-40 minggu. Kelompok intervensi (n=20) menerima promosi kesehatan dan booklet, sedangkan kelompok kontrol (n=20) menerima promosi kesehatan tanpa booklet. Pengetahuan dan sikap diukur sebelum dan sesudah edukasi, sedangkan peran serta diukur setelah persalinan. Perubahan dalam kelompok dianalisis dengan uji Wilcoxon dan perbedaan posttest antarkelompok dengan independent samples t-test. Skor posttest pengetahuan lebih tinggi pada kelompok intervensi dibanding kontrol (7,95 vs 6,70; p=0,024), demikian pula sikap (27,85 vs 24,15; p=0,006) dan peran serta suami (26,95 vs 22,90; p<0,001). Promosi kesehatan berbantuan booklet efektif meningkatkan kesiapan dan keterlibatan suami dalam pendampingan persalinan.
