Frequent physical interaction in schools, when not accompanied by adequate personal hygiene, may increase the risk of dermatological infections, including scabies, among students. This activity aimed to improve the understanding and preventive attitudes of students at SMPN 2 Montasik regarding scabies transmission through education on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). A total of 60 seventh- and eighth-grade students participated in this educational activity. The methods included interactive discussions, visual media, direct demonstrations of handwashing techniques, and knowledge evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed an increase in the mean score from 58.40 on the pre-test to 81.20 on the post-test. Inferential statistical testing produced a significance value demonstrating that the difference between the pre-test and post-test scores was statistically significant. PHBS education combined with direct practice was effective in improving students’ knowledge of scabies prevention. The activity also encouraged preventive attitudes and better personal hygiene practices within the school environment. Therefore, practice-based health education can serve as a promotive and preventive strategy to reduce scabies transmission and strengthen students’ awareness of maintaining personal hygiene in everyday life.
