Background: Type II Diabetes Mellitus causes metabolic disorders that can lead to endothelial cell proliferation and thickening of blood vessel membranes, disrupting the supply of oxygen and nutrients to peripheral tissues and potentially causing neuropathy and diabetic ulcers. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between diabetic ulcer severity and blood glucose levels in patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus. Methods: This study employed an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of patients with a history of Type II Diabetes Mellitus. A total of 37 patients were selected using purposive sampling based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The inclusion criteria were patients diagnosed with Type II Diabetes Mellitus and those with complete medical record data, while the exclusion criterion was wounds caused by sharp objects. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test. Results: The analysis showed a significant association between diabetic ulcer severity and random blood glucose levels, with a p-value of 0.031 (p ≤ 0.05). Thus, H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted, indicating a statistically significant relationship between diabetic ulcer severity and random blood glucose levels. Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between the severity of diabetic ulcers and random blood glucose levels in patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus.
