Scabies remains a significant public health problem in Indonesia, particularly among school-age children who are vulnerable due to close physical contact and limited hygiene understanding. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between environmental hygiene knowledge and scabies prevention among school children at SD Negeri 067692, Medan Labuhan District. A quantitative descriptive-correlational design with a cross-sectional approach was used. From a population of 258 students, a sample of 72 grade III and IV students was determined using Slovin's formula (margin of error 10%) with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were collected using an Environmental Hygiene Knowledge questionnaire adapted from Matin (2017) (Cronbach's α = 0.85) and a Scabies Prevention questionnaire adapted from Titi Lestari (2022) (Cronbach's α = 0.82), and analyzed using frequency distribution and Spearman's rho correlation test. The results showed that 39 respondents (54.2%) had high, 5 (6.9%) moderate, and 28 (38.9%) low environmental hygiene knowledge; 39 (54.1%) demonstrated good scabies prevention behavior and 33 (45.9%) poor behavior. Spearman's rho test revealed a very strong positive correlation (rho = 0.868; p < 0.001; N = 72). These findings imply that strengthening school-based environmental hygiene education is essential for supporting scabies prevention among elementary school students.
