Abstract

Cervical cancer remains the second-leading cancer among Indonesian women, with less than 10% national screening coverage. This community service (PKM) aimed to enhance digital health literacy and encourage cervical cancer screening participation through HPV Self-Sampling assistance among women visiting Murni Teguh General Hospital Medan in 2026. The program engaged 82 women aged 30–65 years using an integrated approach combining multimedia digital education (video, e-booklet, digital leaflet, infographic, QR code, WhatsApp group), interactive lectures, HPV Self-Sampling demonstration with anatomical phantom, individual mentoring, counseling, and pre-post assessment. Evaluation employed validated questionnaires measuring knowledge, digital literacy, HPV Self-Sampling acceptance, and screening intention. Results showed a significant knowledge increase from 52.4 to 87.6 (Δ=35.2; p<0.001), digital literacy improved from 48.7 to 84.3, HPV Self-Sampling acceptance reached 91.5%, and screening participation rose from 12.2% to 78.0% within four weeks post-intervention. Participant satisfaction reached 94.3%. The program effectively increased knowledge, digital literacy, and screening participation, supporting WHO Cervical Cancer Elimination Strategy (90–70–90) and Indonesian Ministry of Health 2026 policy on HPV DNA screening expansion.
